The Tamil film Hangover is set in a college campus. The protagonist, Uma Krishnan, graduate of the prestigious Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Chennai, is sent to an IIT college for police training. She has no idea how fierce the competition is as she enters this new hub of students and challenges herself to overcome their academic and cultural dominance with her intelligence, wit and perseverance. Uma Krishnan embodies our modern Indian woman on-screen: blunt-speaking but not saucy; smart but not bossy; quick on her feet without compromising her femininity. She's a powerful personality who drives on equal terms with men and doesn't tolerate being pushed around or treated as inferior. The movie stars Sayaji Shinde as the protagonist, with Sunaina and debutante Radhika Pandit as her friends. It also stars Dimple Kapadia, Shaleen from "Hum Tum", Nandish Sandile, Saurabh Shukla, Mihir Mishra and Aditya Kumar among others. The music is composed by A. R. Rahman who had composed for the Tamil film "Nayakan". Prior to this film, Sayaji Shinde had worked in a series of English movies including "Dan Dan the Merciless" (2013), "Taxi No. 9211" (2013) and "Ek Villain" (2012). Besides, they pointed out that the movie had a lot of profanity, which was not suitable for Tamil audience. However, it went on to become a big hit at Box Office India , grossing 19.5 crore INR in its lifetime run.
